Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a partner?
- No. Single dancers will work one on one with one of our instructors. Couples have the option of working separately with two instructors or together with one instructor.
What will it cost to learn to dance?
- That depends on the level of dancing you want to achieve and how much time you can commit. New students are offered discounted programs, including our introductory special, to allow them the opportunity to try dancing with only a small investment of time and money. Please call 480-706-0171 now to schedule your lesson!
Why choose private lessons?
- Private lessons are going to be the fastest, most thorough way to learn to dance. You will work specifically on footwork, musicality (relating the dance to the music’s rhythm, melody and mood), and leading/following. Instructors will address your needs, concerns and questions individually to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the patterns.
Why choose group lessons?
- Group lessons enhance the individual lessons. These allow you to work specifically on your footwork and body placement within a specific dance.
What dances can I learn?
- A list of the more common dances can be Found Here. If there is a dance you are interested in that you do not see listed here, please ask, we may be able to accommodate you or refer you to someone who can.
What should I wear?
- Comfortable, non restrictive clothing. Shoes are the most important. If you do not have dance shoes, we suggest a shoe with a back and a leather sole. Athletic shoes are not the easiest to dance in as they do not allow for any type of “give” on the dance floor. Dance shoes can be purchased at the dance studio if you choose to do so.
How long will it take to learn to dance?
- There are many factors that will affect the length of time it takes to learn to dance. Whether you learn as a single or a couple, whether you have prior dance experience, how many dances you decide to learn, what your goals are, whether you come in once a week or five times a week or even how often you practice. Come try our introductory special and we will be able to answer that question more accurately! Call 480-706-0171 now to schedule your lesson!
